Mielle Rosemary Mint Strengthening Shampoo
If you’re growing your hair out or giving up a damaging heat styling routine, you’ve probably noticed that your hair can sometimes feel weak or brittle. Mielle’s Rosemary Mint Strengthening Shampoo is designed to gently cleanse the hair while strengthening it with ingredients like biotin and babassu seed oil.
Overall Favorite Shampoo
Our overall favorite shampoo is Brigeo’s Curl Charisma Shampoo. It’s ideal for wavy, curly, and coily hair types from 2A to 4C. It’s infused with amino acids, avocado oil, and tomato fruit ferment to hydrate and enhance curls without stripping your hair’s natural oils.
Conditioner For Curly Hair
Conditioner for Shine
Oribe Conditioner for Brilliance and Shine
Oribe’s Conditioner for Brilliance and Shine pairs well with their detangling shampoo. It’s designed as a polishing treatment and enhances shine while acting as an additional detangling step in your hair care routine.
Overall Favorite Conditioner
Briogeo Curl Charisma Conditioner
Just like the shampoo in this series, Briogeo’s Curl Charisma Conditioner is our overall favorite conditioner for curly hair. It works beautifully with the Curl Charisma Conditioner and is perfect for everyday use, especially if you’re using the Curly Girl Method.
Curly Hair Stylers
CurlSmith Hold Me Softly Style Balm
CurlSmith’s Hold Me Softly Style Balm is styling balm with a whipped texture and a light hold. It provides soft, loose definition and zero crunch. It’s ideal for all curl types, but they suggest layering it with stronger stylers if you have a tighter curl pattern.
Treluxe Curl Supreme Hydrating Crème
Treluxe’s Curl Supreme Hydrating Crème is formulated with natural butters, light oils, and active botanicals. It’s designed to help increase curl elasticity, improve hair flexibility, strengthen the hair, and improve the hair’s texture all while providing a soft hold.
Deep Conditioner for Curly Hair
Miche Indulge Moisturizing Deep Conditioner
Miche’s Indulge Moisturizing Deep Conditioner is named appropriately—it feels like a totally luxurious indulgence. It’s a creamy deep conditioner with tons of slip that helps detangle your hair while providing deep, rich moisture. It’s formulated without protein but with raw honey, olive oil, and babassu. It’s also really affordable.
Hair Oil for Curly Hair
If you diffuse your hair every time you dry it or utilize any other type of heat tool for styling, you’re going to want to protect those locks! Olaplex’s No. 7 Bonding Oil is perfect for adding shine, strength, and protection against heat styling. It helps minimize flyaways and frizz and protects UV/heat protection up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
Must-Haves for Curly Hair
- Hair pick/wide-toothed comb or a Denman brush
- Satin/silk scarfs
- Satin pillowcase
Posted on by ClareHi, I love all of the above products and use them to care for my curls. However, not a fan of the Olaplex bonding oil. I prefer the Curlsmith bonding oil. Leaves my hair feeling much better than the Olaplex bonding oil. Give it a try, have a feeling you will like it better too! Also, I’m a licensed hair stylist and use tons of various products and my favorites are also Briogeo, Curlsmith, some of the Quidad line too! Anything that works to keep curls looking beautiful!
